1) Do I pay for the bikes/mopeds before or after renting? top
While renting bicycles, payment is after your ride. With a minimum rental of an hour, you can feel free to ride as long as you like without worrying about returning the bike in a certain amount of time. If renting a moped payment is beforehand, hourly.
2) Can my son/daughter ride on the back of a moped? Can we ride double? top
No, our mopeds are designed for ONE rider per machine and in addition it is also unlawful to carry passengers on these types of machines.
3) Does Edge of Park have helmets or maps? top
YES! We have quality TREK helmets, detailed maps, backpacks, secure locks, (ALL FREE!) as well as a knowledgeable staff ready to explain routes or areas to ride.
4) Can we attach a child’s transit cart to a tandem bike? top
No, for safety reasons this attachment would be too long for the trails. All of our transit carts and tag-a-longs are attached to TREK Navigator 24-speeds.
5) What are the hours at Edge of Park? top
During the early spring and late fall, hours are normally 9am – 5pm daily, Sundays until 4pm. During the summer season, Edge of Park is open from 8:30am – 6:00pm daily, Sunday until 5pm.

To park inside Peninsula State Park, a vehicle sticker is required. Out on highway 42 parking can be scarce. We have ample parking onsite.
7) Where can we ride? top
The nearly 4,000 acre Peninsula State Park, literally bordering Edge of Park, has a 10 mile designated bike path called Sunset Trail. This loop provides a wonderful cross section of what the park has to offer and if ridden leisurely will take about an hour and a half. This park also offers many miles of quiet roads. In addition to Peninsula State Park, there are many tranquil back roads just waiting to be explored in the county or around Fish Creek. Our staff would be delighted to assist you in planning a great route! Mopeds must remain on all paved roads 45 mph or less, either in the park (sticker fee already included!) or county.
8) Can we rent bikes/mopeds for a day or more? top
Bicycles can be rented hourly, daily, or weekly! Paying on return, after a minimum rental of one hour, all time after that is prorated every 15 minutes up to four hours, which equals a day rental which can then be a 24 hour rental. Rent three days: pay for two, get the third day free! Rent a week: Pay for four days get three days free!
Our moped rentals are hourly from open to close, no overnight rentals are permitted.
9) What are minimum or maximum ages for children to ride in a transit cart or on a tag-a-long? top
A transit cart is designed safely for children as young as 3 months(in a car seat)! These fit two children to a maximum of 100 lbs.
Our children’s tag-a-long is designed for children accustomed to training wheels at home.
10) What is the busiest part of the day to avoid? top
From around 10:30am until 1:30pm is the busiest time at Edge of Park Rentals. The best idea for large groups is to arrive early- or later in the day, although with more than 250 bicycles, don’t worry about availability!
